Workshop Diary – A Day in My Small Business Journey
A thrilling beginning to the day.
Today is 9th August, Friday.
It’s morning 9:30 and I’m having breakfast.
Why is it thrilling?
Because I received three orders and even got 70% of the payment as advance. That’s a great start!
But the finance for my company still hasn’t reached my account yet. Hah, it’s okay… I’ll wait.
Yesterday was one of the worst days, so I didn’t write or post anything.
But last night, 8th August, Thursday, I received those orders—and that changed my mood completely.
So today, I decided to start with some basic things in the workshop diary: power supply assembly, making panels, and preparing speaker enclosures.
Before I can get to the actual building, I need to do some designing, confirm part values, and decide on the types of components I’ll be using.
It’s all part of the behind the scenes work that nobody sees but is absolutely essential.
By 2:15 in the afternoon, I came back home feeling hungry.
Later this evening, at 7:30, I had to attend an online class for C programming.
Before that, there was still plenty of work to finish—video shoots pending for all my channels, no updates yet on my Facebook page Electronics Malayalam, and the last Instagram post was ages ago.
Sometimes being a one-man army is tough.
A team can achieve much more, but in my small business journey, I know I can only build a team after my projects get moving.
Till then, it’s pure creative hustle—and yes, a mix of passion and profit driving me forward.
After my class, I went to a small fast-food shop. Ordered a simple omelette and tea, enjoying a quiet moment.
Once home, I practiced what I had just learned in the online class.
Now it’s 11:45 pm. I’m heading to bed soon, because tomorrow I want to wake up early.
Starting tomorrow, I’m going to try something new—writing every five minutes. Let’s see how interesting that turns out to be.
Sometimes, even on a rainy day, small wins keep the fire alive.
