Mobile phone battery booster is a device that can be made by your self at home to boost or activate any dead or voltage dropped phone batteries. Such batteries won't charge from your phone directly.

This type of boosting can be done from any batteries above 9 volt upto 12 volt. To make phone battery booster, connect a 12 volt bulb in series with a 12 volt battery and mobile phone battery. Hold it in this way for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

When the battery voltage level reaches the correct rating, insert it back in the phone and connect the charger. You can see the battery start to charge from the phone itself.

Non removed phone battery booster or activator

This type of phone battery booster or activator is used to charge batteries that cannot be removed from the phone.

These batteries don't have any terminals like the old model phones. They comes with a type of connector and strip. That strip clip should be connected to the desired socket and connect the booster to a 5 volt charger. That's all to do.

And remember, this type of booster should not be connected with any 12 volt bulb or batteries as mentioned above. The activator may get damaged.

The drawback with this type of batteries are they cannot be boosted from home as you may need to buy a booster from shop or online.

Other use of 12 volt bulb type battery booster

Using the 12 volt bulb battery booster, you can not only charge phone batteries.

You can boost any dropped power bank cells that may have 3.6 volts. You can boost torch batteries, emergency light batteries and so-on.

Set top box adapter as phone battery booster

You can use any cable set top box to boost phone battery. Let it may be 12 volts or 5 volts.

The center hole of the adapter pin will be posetive and the outer side will be the negative.

Connect the negative terminal directly to the negative point of the battery and then try touching the positive point to the positive wire at equal intervals or at the same sequence. By doing so it will work like a switching charger.

Also you can DIY at home making a phone battery booster using a 12 volts 100 to 300 mA transformer made as a 12 volt dc adapter.

Keep holding the positive and negative to the battery for a minute or two. Then charge the battery from your phone directly.
